Mirage

(Not to be confused with the newer Mirage on SP's Fallon Branch)

Mirage was the name of a station on the Central Pacific Railroad's original Transcontinental route across Churchill County. It was abandoned when the railroad was rerouted around the steep grade of White Plains Hill in 1903. Several depressions and foundations, as well as much debris, can be found over a nearly three acre site.
