Oro Fino District

Pershing County

The Oro Fino District was an early mining district, organized in 1863 following the discovery of silver in 1862. Ore found there assayed an average as $175/ton in 1868, but it was absorbed by the Sierra District in 1869 and no documented production has been found. Work ceased by the 1880s.
