Brooklyn

The Brooklyn United Gold & Silver Mining Company of New York started work on a tunnel on the south side of Peavine Mountain in 1875, also laying out a new townsite called Brooklyn. While much was spent developing the town, including construction of a boarding house, blacksmith shop, and stables, the endeavor wasn't worthwhile and Brooklyn was abandoned within a couple of years. Though modern development has encroached on the site, a few faint foundations can still be found.
